This project has illuminated a total of 6.77 kilometers of cycle path, installing 169 solar lights and involving a total investment of 437,750.23 euros. The works were carried out in three phases, with the final phase covering the section between Legorreta and Itsasondo.
In this final phase, 57 solar lights were installed along a section approximately 1,730 meters long, spaced 30 meters apart on straight sections and 25 meters on curves. These works were completed over a three-month period, between November 2025 and February 2026, with an investment of 145,415.94 euros.

Local authorities have emphasized the project's importance for promoting sustainable mobility and enhancing citizen safety. The mayor of Legorreta stated that, with this work, the entire section of the municipal cycle path is now illuminated, which will have a positive impact on residents of the Berostegi neighborhood, allowing them to travel to the town center more safely.
For his part, the mayor of Itsasondo highlighted the significant improvement it brings to inter-municipal connectivity, offering a safer, more accessible, and pleasant space for citizens to move on foot or by bicycle.
