This theatrical production focuses on the association's founding and is divided into three acts. The first act depicts a post-lunch discussion where the municipal proposal to form a pensioners' association is debated, revealing differing opinions.
In the second act, during a mus game at a social club, discussions about the necessity of the association continue. Finally, the third act portrays a gathering of pensioners, where topics such as politics, sexuality, and family tensions are addressed with humor and thoughtfulness.
“"It is aimed at children, youth, adults, and the elderly; everyone. We have given space to humor so that people can have a good time and laugh. We have included jokes about married couples, about sex, about family..."
According to the cast members, the play is suitable for all audiences, treating serious subjects lightly and encouraging reflection. For instance, during the debate on the association's creation, a message about the relationship between the town and its inhabitants is highlighted.
The idea for the play originated from the pensioners' association itself, aiming to promote activity in the town and contribute to the community. Twelve or thirteen people will be on stage, but around twenty individuals have participated in the preparations, including lighting, computer operation, and recording.
Although they initially faced difficulties in finding participants, they have ultimately gathered enough people and are pleased with the outcome. The performance will take place in the main hall of the Pernando Amezketarra cultural center, and due to limited capacity, advance registration is recommended. The possibility of a second performance is also being considered.
