The N-1 road is currently closed between Idiazabal and Olaberria on April 13, 2026, following a traffic accident involving a van and a car, as confirmed by the Basque Government's Department of Security.

The incident occurred at kilometer 416 of the N-1, specifically on the stretch descending from the Etzegarate pass. The affected lanes are those heading towards Donostia, causing traffic jams that extended for four kilometers by 11:30 AM.
Additionally, exit 412 of the N-1 has also been impacted. Persistent rain throughout the morning has been a significant factor in the challenging road conditions across Gipuzkoa.
