Lazkao City Council has launched an initiative to guarantee that the upcoming San Prudentzio 2026 festivities unfold in a safe, egalitarian, and violence-free environment. Through a specific campaign, the council aims to reinforce a zero-tolerance message against sexist attitudes, aggressions, or harassment situations.
Under the slogan 'Lazkaoko San Prudentzio jaiak ere, indarkeria matxistarik gabe. Lazkao, a space free of gender-based violence', the campaign will be visible at various points in the municipality through posters, and will also include the distribution of action protocols for potential situations of violence. These materials will be disseminated especially in bars and among associations actively participating in the organization of the festivities.

In addition to preventive measures, the council makes a direct appeal to citizens to adopt an active role during the festivities. This involves not only rejecting sexist behaviors but also acting in any risk situation or helping individuals who may need support at a given moment.
