The Lazkao City Council will conclude its reflection process on care with a final open meeting on December 10, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, in the town hall's plenary hall. This event, open to all citizens, will present the results of the work carried out in recent months with the aim of advancing towards a more caring, accessible, and inclusive town.
So far, five sessions have been held, and in the latest one, participants have progressed in unifying the contributions and reflections gathered in previous meetings. The process has involved municipal political representatives and technicians, local associations and stakeholders, as well as citizens who are closely familiar with the reality of care.
Through this collaborative effort, the current situation of care in Lazkao has been analyzed, existing needs and challenges in the town have been identified, and future opportunities have been considered. Additionally, participants have had the chance to learn about experiences from other towns and communities, such as initiatives to support caregivers, projects to address unwanted loneliness, models to promote personal autonomy, and proposals to strengthen intergenerational coexistence.
In this final open session, the main conclusions drawn from the contributions received during the process, as well as the identified challenges and proposals for the future of care, will be announced. It will also be emphasized that care is a challenge for the entire community, highlighting its importance for citizen well-being and the future of the town.
