Today is a day of great celebration in Beasain as Francisca Murgiondo Etxeberria marks her 100th birthday. The City Council, on behalf of the entire municipality, has extended its congratulations and presented her with a commemorative plaque and a bouquet of flowers during a visit to her home.
Born in the Araba town of Narbaiza, Francisca moved to Lazkao after getting married, and the family later relocated to Beasain due to her husband's work. She has now been a resident of the town for 61 years, serving as a witness to its life.
She still maintains her daily routines, including her daily stroll and enjoying a coffee with milk. Today, she will celebrate her birthday with her family, and plans a larger celebration later with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and relatives living elsewhere.
