The roundabout on the road to Goierri Eskola is now complete, with the installation of traffic signage also finished. This project, undertaken by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, has simplified and organized the existing intersection, successfully improving road safety, traffic flow, and pedestrian safety. The works had a budget of 245,799.46 euros.
The area around the new roundabout experiences high traffic intensity daily. This is because Goierri Eskola, the Fire Station, and the access to Oianguren converge there. Now, with the new roundabout, the intersection is clearer, more organized, and safer.
The outer diameter of the roundabout is 30 meters, which allows for the maneuverability of special transports from CAF.
Looking ahead, the Provincial Council will continue to enhance pedestrian safety. The pedestrian route will be extended further, connecting it with the itinerary in the San Juan and Eroski areas.
