Events organized by the Beasain City Council, the BKL club, and the Basque Basketball Federation will be held again this year. The first event is scheduled for Saturday, featuring a 3x3 tournament for under-17s at the Antzizar sports center. Eight girls' teams and eight boys' teams will compete.
The girls' tournament will be held in the morning, and the boys' in the afternoon. Before the girls' finals, the Basque Basketball Federation will distribute the season's awards. This year, Pedro Etxarri (Ordizia), Alfredo Salazar (Araba), and Txiki Arza (Bizkaia) will be honored for their contributions to basketball.
Additionally, several individuals from the Goierri region will receive awards: Hector Gutierrez (Ordizia Orkli) and Xabier Gorostegi (Ordizia Kuko Jatetxea) as best coaches, and Elorri Garcia (Ordizia Orbinox) and Natale Ena (Ordizia Kuko Jatetxea) as best players.
On June 12th, the Basque U20 women's selection will play against Slovakia in Beasain. Prior to that, on the 11th, they will compete in Zarautz. Meanwhile, the Basque U20 men's selection will have a training camp in Beasain to prepare for a tournament in Portugal alongside Hungary, Czech Republic, and Portugal.
The federation continues to foster international relations, although achieving official status is not always easy. Therefore, the tournament in Portugal is significant as it can open up new avenues.
