Preparing the week's food in two hours, in a simple, healthy, and sustainable way, sounds appealing but seems impossible for many households. The 'Azokatik Mahaira' cooking and nutrition workshop, promoted by the Gipuzkoako Azoken Sarea working group with the Zumarraga City Council, aims to provide the tools to achieve this. It will take place next Saturday, May 30th, at 11:00 AM in Zumarraga's main square. Participation is free, and attendees will have the opportunity to taste the prepared dishes.
«We will show how to optimize time in the kitchen while ensuring a balanced and healthy diet. For this, local and seasonal products will be used, highlighting the work of local producers and promoting responsible consumption», state Gipuzkoako Azoken Sarea.
The session will be guided by cook Anne Otegi and nutritionist Aitziber Aizpuru, combining complementary perspectives on cooking and nutrition. Participants will receive practical advice and recipes applicable to daily life. «The workshop will offer a unique opportunity to improve eating habits, save time, and understand the value of local products», they announce.
This initiative is organized by Landaola, the Federation of Rural Development Associations of Gipuzkoa, in collaboration with the Zumarraga City Council, a member of the Gipuzkoa Markets Network, with the aim of promoting rural development and the local economy.
The revitalization of farmers' markets is the goal of all local markets, and this project aims to contribute to that revitalization. In this session, participants will learn directly how to prepare recipes at home quickly and conveniently, considering seasonal products, moving away from usual dishes, and preparing local foods more attractively.
The importance of eating healthily will also be highlighted, and beyond understanding the nutritional advantages of each food, there will be an opportunity to learn how to eat healthily.
