The Amezti mountain club from Zegama has successfully concluded the Gipuzkoako Bira project, completing its final stage on March 28, on a route stretching from Aritxulegi to Hondarribia.

Members of the Amezti mountain club, based in Zegama, were able to undertake the fifteenth and final stage of the Gipuzkoako Bira on March 28, after the weather finally granted a reprieve. The journey commenced in Aritxulegi (Oiartzun) and traversed the foothills of Aiako Harriak, passing over the peaks of Elurretxe and Erlaitz.
They then reached Irun from the San Martzial hermitage, concluding their trek in Hondarribia. According to Asier Berasategi, a member of the club, “as we were about to reach Irun, there was a bit of drizzle, but it was fine. We showered at the Hondarribia sports center and moved on to the third half. We had a great lunch and returned home in the afternoon”.

Berasategi also mentioned that during lunch, ideas for new projects emerged, “albeit with a shorter number of years and the same ending,” reflecting the group's enthusiasm for future challenges.
