The 28th edition of the Iñaki Beitia mountain march was held this morning, passing through the Goierri, Deba Garaia, and Urola Kosta regions, offering participants the chance to explore the local environment.

The 28th edition of the Iñaki Beitia mountain march was held this morning. Participants completed a 30-kilometer route, overcoming an accumulated elevation gain of 1,800 meters, and discovering the beautiful landscapes of the Goierri, Deba Garaia, and Urola Kosta regions.
The event started and finished at the Areizaga-Kalebarren square. Along the route, several control points were passed, including Izazpi, Samiño, Aizpurutxo, Irimo, and the finish line itself, Areizaga/Kalebarren plaza.
This year's edition maintained a novelty introduced last year: the opportunity to visit the mailbox at the Oñamendi summit, inaugurated on the 25th anniversary of Iñaki Beitia's passing. Additionally, some changes were made to the descents, descending to Aizpurutxo from Dantzaleku and the Ula farmhouse, and continuing towards Etxaburu from Santa Barbara.
Finally, the descent was made from the Larreaga farmhouse to the center of Urretxu to conclude the march.
