The Urnieta City Council makes a significant effort to ensure new residents feel at home. To this end, a welcome session was recently held for those who have arrived in the town over the past few months.
The presentation was led by Herme González, the second deputy mayor of the Council. Also present, as is customary at such events, were Mayor Jorge Segurado, along with representatives from various municipal political groups and some local associations.
During the session, all municipal services available to citizens were explained, and a welcome guide containing this information was distributed. The Urnieta City Council has been developing this initiative for several years, considering it very enriching for initial contact, supporting newcomers, and reflecting that Urnieta "is formed by all of us who live in the town, regardless of our origin."
“"With all of you, our community is enriched. The City Council hopes that you can develop your life project in Urnieta in the best possible way and wishes you a satisfactory coexistence."
Prior to the event, a letter was sent to the new residents of Urnieta with an invitation to attend.
