Today, April 8, the traditional Wednesday market in Ordizia was transformed into a special edition, coinciding with the celebration of Artzain Eguna (Shepherd's Day). This event gave the market a unique atmosphere, offering visitors a wide variety of flavors and colors.
Among the extensive offerings at the market, mushrooms were one of the main highlights. They were available at the stalls of vendors Mikel Lasa, Patxi Arizmendi, and Arantxa Lopetegi, with a total of five kilograms sold at a price of 130 euros per kilogram.
The selection of flowers and plants also played a significant role. Among the flowers, tulips and irises stood out, and there was also an opportunity to purchase new plants such as Gernika pepper, morroa, Italian pepper, cherry tomato, robin, rose, eggplant, and zucchini. Additionally, asparagus shoots were also found at the stalls.
Another protagonist of the day was Idiazabal designation of origin cheese, an essential product at the market stalls. Arizmendi Gaztak, along with vendors Mikel Lasa and Patxi Atienza, offered this cheese, with prices ranging between 24 and 25.5 euros per kilogram.
