The two bus stops in Azpeitia's Sanjuandegi neighborhood are set to receive new shelters. The Azpeitia City Council has initiated the renovation work, placing temporary covers to ensure passengers can continue using the service while the old shelters are removed and the new ones are installed.

The new shelters to be installed in Sanjuandegi will be similar in design to those already in place at the stops on Julian Elortza street and next to the Basque Railway Museum, as reported by the council.

These works are connected to the project for expanding the cover of the playground located in front of the swimming pool, which began in January. The intervention at the bus stops is considered a preliminary step to the final phase of this project, which will involve renovating the sidewalk from the bus stop to the swimming pool area, with buses continuing to stop at their usual locations.

The total budget for the entire project, encompassing both the shelter renovation and the playground cover expansion, amounts to 330,000 euros.
