The band's formation began in late 2022, when one of its members started composing ideas with a guitar. Initial recordings were made on an old home computer, using guitar, programmed drums, bass, and keyboard. After accumulating several songs, the desire to record in a studio emerged, leading to a search for musicians.
Early rehearsals took place at Psilocybe in Hondarribia, but the project did not progress with the initial members. Over time, many musicians have participated in the initiative, and finally, in mid-2025, the group Min was formed. The band consists of Maite Martiarena, Suharri Aranburu, Jon Sarasketa, Ibon Telleria, and Ion Brakamonte, each with prior experience in other musical projects.
Despite coming from different styles, the instrumental basis of the songs was almost complete, and arrangements were made in the rehearsal space. According to the band members, the most challenging aspects have been creating the lyrics and finding vocal melodies. Their first concert was held on December 20, 2025, at Zestoa's Gaztetxe, alongside the group Gailu. It was an excellent experience, as the gaztetxe was packed, and the audience's reception was very positive.
“"It was a big challenge for us, as we arrived with few rehearsals, but it was an excellent experience: the gaztetxe was packed, and the people's reception was wonderful. This is how you can start!"
The album was recorded in October 2025 at Gaztain studio, under the guidance of Eñaut Gaztañaga. They are satisfied with the process, but promotion and social media management are a concern. If all goes well, the album will be released in early March. For the coming months, they have concerts scheduled for February 7 in Azkoitia and March 13 at Bonberenea in Tolosa, and are also exploring the possibility of performing in Zumaia.
The advance single, Haizea dabil, is a reflection on humanity's desire for control and a “new wind” blowing in the world.
