Eider Mendoza, the General Deputy of Gipuzkoa, has unequivocally stated that Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, bears sole responsibility for the conflict in Gaza. These remarks were made during a press conference in Donostia, where she was providing updates on Government Council agreements and was questioned about the complaint against the CAF company.
The complaint, filed by several organizations with the Prosecutor's Office, investigates CAF's involvement in the construction and maintenance of the Jerusalem Light Rail, which connects Israeli settlements in occupied territory. Mendoza urged, "we should not look for enemies at home that are outside."
“"The responsibility for what is happening in Gaza lies with (Benjamin) Netanyahu and no one else."
The president of the Gipuzkoan government described the events unfolding in Gaza and other parts of the world as "very concerning from a human rights perspective." However, she made it clear that the responsibility for this situation does not fall on local institutions or companies.
