Regarding precipitation, March was distinctly wet, with high accumulations on the Cantabrian slope, particularly in the northern valleys. Notable records include 241.4 mm in Berastegi and 240 mm in Eskas, with several stations exceeding 200 mm. In Araba, however, values were more contained, often below 60 mm, such as in Alegría (59.8 mm), Nanclares (57.75 mm), and Páganos (55.9 mm).
The number of precipitation days was higher than usual in the west and interior, with increases of between 30% and 50%, especially in the Llanada Alavesa where there were around 15 days of rain. Rainfall was concentrated mainly between the 5th and 15th and during the last week of the month, with four days of very abundant accumulations, particularly on the 6th and 14th.

Wind was dominated by southerly and southeasterly flows for much of the month, with generally weak to moderate intensity. However, very strong gusts occurred during the first week, exceeding 100 km/h in exposed areas (Matxitxako 108.6 km/h, on the 2nd). Subsequently, the wind shifted to a northerly component in several periods, especially at the end of the month, associated with a temperature drop.
Regarding adverse weather, 14 yellow warnings were issued, mostly related to rough seas (7 for wave height for navigation and 2 for coastal impact), in addition to warnings for snow (3) and persistent precipitation (2). Maritime storms and intense rainfall episodes were the most significant phenomena of the month.
