The organization Euskal Herrian Euskaraz (EHE) has invited independentist Euskaltzales to gather in Azpeitia on April 24 and 25 for the II Meeting of Independentist Euskaltzales. The full two-day program, packed with content and events, was unveiled on March 13, and since then, online registrations for the workshops scheduled for Saturday have been open. These sessions will be free of charge, but those wishing to participate must complete a questionnaire.
Furthermore, tickets for two other Saturday events are still available online: the lunch to be held at Azoka Plaza and the concerts by Tapia eta Leturia Band and Maruxak in the evening at Sanagustin. Tickets can be purchased via the Entradium platform, either for the lunch only, the concerts only, or combined tickets for both events.
This is the program that EHE has prepared in collaboration with various other entities for the II Meeting of Independentist Euskaltzales. On Friday, April 24, from 18:00 to 20:00, the event “Ongi etorri Euskararen Errepublikara” will take place, followed by an acoustic concert at Orkatz bar at 20:30. In the evening, at 22:00, there will be pala matches: Martija-Prieto vs. Sanchez-Alkorta (short pala) and Urain-Gutierrez vs. Aizpuru-Rosa (rubber paleta).
On Saturday, April 25, from 10:00 to 12:00, the main roundtable discussion “Euskaratik independentziara” will be held. Afterwards, at 12:30, the Joaldunak will perform, and at 13:00, a political event will take place. Lunch is scheduled for 14:00. In the afternoon, from 16:00 to 19:00, workshops will be conducted in two shifts, covering diverse topics such as youth and leisure in Euskera, civil disobedience, the sociolinguistic situation, mural painting, intersectionality, the Republic of Euskera, and the cultural system. At 19:00, there will be street music, and at 22:00, concerts featuring Tapia eta Leturia Band and Maruxak. Subsequently, DJs will play at Orkatz and Korrale bars.
Those interested in learning more details about the meetings will have a good opportunity this Thursday at Orkatz. Following the official presentation on March 13, a more informal presentation has been organized for April 9, accompanied by pintxo-pote and music.
