This initiative has prepared 146 meeting points for children and families, offering a wide range of activities. For instance, in Barakaldo, music sessions, a bicycle march, and cooking workshops have been organized. Portugalete and Etxebarri will host a costume party and a singing session for families, while Soraluze (Gipuzkoa) will hold a potato omelette championship.
The Eusfera project will also be present in Durango. On Sunday, a family mountain excursion will take place from San Roke to Larrinagatxu, a five-kilometer route suitable for all ages. Registrations can be made via a dedicated website. Additionally, on Tuesday, a cooking workshop for families and children will be held in Andra Mari at 6:00 PM, where participants will prepare chocolate cake and fruit skewers. The organizers will provide all necessary ingredients and materials, although all spots for this event are already filled.
“"Basque is not just a language to be used in schools; we want to show our children that they can read, dance, dream, create, and enjoy in Basque. Furthermore, Basque is a means to understand and embody the world, and this perspective aligns with the community-driven approach promoted by Eusfera."
Behind Eusfera is the Taupa movement, and the organizers have emphasized the importance of demonstrating that it is possible to live in Basque. As stated at the presentation in Pamplona, Basque is a language that extends beyond classrooms, where children can read, dance, dream, create, and enjoy.
