Works to repair Orio's municipal sanitation system began on March 16, with the Gipuzkoa Water Consortium anticipating their completion by April 10. However, the town council has indicated that there have been changes in the progress of the works, leading to the postponement of tasks scheduled from tomorrow until Friday.
The work carried out so far has impacted traffic in the town center, particularly on Eusko Gudari street, Kaia street, and the final section of Abeslari street. Nevertheless, the council has clarified that there will be no traffic alterations between tomorrow and Friday. New dates for the resumption of the works will be announced later.
These works are part of the maintenance and renovation of the municipal sanitation network. According to the council, recent studies revealed the need for repairs at several points in the network due to open connections, cracked pipes, and the risk of breakage. Consequently, some collectors are currently being renovated and repaired.
