The Zirkuola workshop in Aduna presented its end-of-year circus show yesterday morning at the fronton, with 170 students of all ages participating. Families and friends enjoyed a performance featuring various circus disciplines, the result of a year's work, including ground and aerial acrobatics, trapeze, trampoline, juggling, and silks.
Organized into groups, the students showcased their skills following the music, eager to demonstrate what they had learned. From the youngest to the oldest, the approximately 170 students from Zirkuola in Aduna performed with confidence. Participants ranged from children as young as five to adults up to 70 years old, proving that circus knows no age limits.
The event was directed by the workshop's founders and instructors, Koldo Arakistain and Irati Gonzalez, along with instructors Janire San Sebastian and Arkaitz Jimenez. Students from various towns in Gipuzkoa participated, filling the town's parking lots and the fronton.
The performance began with the adult group's silks demonstration, followed by silks and other disciplines from all groups, receiving thunderous applause from the audience. The instructors gave a very positive assessment, despite the effort required to set up all the necessary equipment in the fronton for a one-day event.
“"Today has been a frenzy, but seeing the fronton so full and the people so happy makes the effort of organizing it all worthwhile."
They presented a successful hour-and-a-half show, hosted by the clown Pituxa. The show concluded with the adult group's trampoline demonstration. Zirkuola, celebrating its sixth anniversary, marked its journey and has already opened enrollment for the next academic year. Additionally, guided visits to the workshop will be held during summer camps.
