30-Year-Old Dies in Traffic Accident in Sopuerta

The vehicle veered off the road and hit a wall, with the victim later passing away at the hospital.

A 30-year-old man died early Sunday morning in a traffic accident on the BI-630 road in Sopuerta.

The incident occurred around 2:00 AM when the vehicle driven by the victim left the roadway and struck a wall in the Malabrigo neighborhood.
The man was trapped inside the car. After being rescued, he was transported to a hospital where he passed away several hours later.

Emergency services, including the Ertzaintza, medical teams, and Sopuerta Firefighters, responded to the scene. The firefighters rescued the victim, who was then taken by ambulance to Cruces Hospital.
The Ertzaintza has launched an investigation to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.
