After fifteen years of uninterrupted dialogue, two authors have published a book exploring existentialism and spirituality. What began as an interview for a newspaper evolved due to the depth of the topics and the authors' curiosity, leading to a more extensive conversation that was never published in its original format.
The book, titled Hondoaz galde, is divided into seventeen chapters and emphasizes the importance of humbly examining various wisdoms and traditions. Concepts such as the authors' definition of spirituality, the meaning of religions, and spiritual traditions are clarified, alongside an analysis of the evolution of religiosity and spirituality in the contemporary world.
“"Since we all have the question of the meaning of life, it is a book intended for everyone."
The perspective of the Basque community is also considered, analyzing existing prejudices and distortions surrounding this topic. One of the book's objectives is to generate debate and "create an appetite" in Basque society for an area that has been little explored until now.
The book's creation process has been described as "inverse," where conversations were recorded and the material was subsequently adapted into book format. One of the authors took on the "role of student," asking questions and embarking on a path for which they had no prior references.
