After two years of work, the new accommodation has opened its doors. "We started the project two years ago, and we are very excited to begin this new phase," explained Iker Perez. He added that they have had a connection with hospitality since childhood: "We have always helped at our parents' country house, and when they proposed this project, we dove in headfirst. At first, we didn't believe it, but it has become a reality."
Soran Etxea has ten rooms, with a total capacity for twenty people. "We are a hotel; we will offer accommodation and breakfast. Our goal is for the guest to feel at home," stated Perez. For now, they will not open a restaurant or cafe, but they intend to explore that option in the future. The new accommodation is already open, and they have reported that, despite it being the opening day, they have already started receiving the first reservations.
Leintz Gatzaga's mayor, Dorleta Elkorobarrutia, highlighted the project's value for the town: "It means a lot to the town. To relaunch such an emblematic place in the center of the town, and in the movement that Leintz Gatzaga needs, it could be a turning point." Furthermore, she praised the young people's initiative: "For me, it is very important that such young people bet on the town. The hotel brings movement, and that movement is also good for local businesses." As the mayor previewed, the council's wish would be to also open a bar below the hotel in the future.
Azahara Domínguez, Deputy of Mobility, Tourism, and Territorial Planning, was also present at the inauguration. She congratulated the Perez Gaztañaga brothers for their commitment: "I want to thank and congratulate the young brothers. They create quality and stable employment outside the capital, and they give value to a project led by young people." According to the deputy, such initiatives help to energize municipalities.
The Perez brothers emphasized their special commitment to the town: "We believe that Gatzaga needs life, and our intention is to help the town's movement grow."
