Abadiño Town Council announced today that the Provincial Council of Bizkaia has approved the inclusion of the Muntsaratz stop on all routes of the Bizkaibus A3923 line. This line, which connects Bilbao and Elorrio, previously passed through Muntsaratz without making a stop. The change will take effect from June 1st.

The council requested this stop early last year, believing there was genuine demand from the residents of Muntsaratz. Initially, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia rejected the request, arguing that adding the stop would negatively impact the service. However, after repeated requests from Abadiño Town Council and meetings between the two institutions, the Provincial Council has agreed to the change, as explained by Mayor Mikel Urrutia.

The council expressed a positive assessment of the new stop in Muntsaratz, while also submitting several other proposals. These include strengthening line A3911 during school hours for students from Zelaieta and Muntsaratz traveling to the Traña-Matiena institute; improving the connection of Durangaldea with the Zamudio Technology Park and Loiu Airport; implementing special reinforcements for the San Blas market; and extending the Bizkaibus night service on weekends to reduce private vehicle use and facilitate youth mobility.

Furthermore, given Bizkaibus's proposal to remove the Zabalburu and La Casilla stops, the council has requested that these two stops be maintained on the lines connecting Durangaldea and Bilbao.
