Mañaria's Cultural May continues with a special weekend, featuring the Arri initiative with small-format artistic pieces and a concert by the group Oreka TX, enriching the local cultural offerings.

Mañaria's Cultural May continues its program, and the coming days will offer a special cultural proposal in the town. The Arri initiative and the concert by the group Oreka TX will be the main highlights, although several other activities have also been organized throughout the week, as reported by the town council.
On May 16, as part of the Arri initiative, small-format artistic pieces will be showcased in different areas of the town. Korrala Sormen Gunea has been responsible for the organization, and the organizers have described the experience as a “theatrical scavenger hunt.” Spectators will need to complete a route to discover all the pieces. Tickets for the routes will be distributed free of charge in the square at 5:00 PM. The organizers invite people to “walk through the town and enjoy short pieces of theater, circus, and dance.” The locations will be kept secret until then. Among others, there will be contemporary dance by the Ibawa collective, a play by the Karrika Antzerki Taldea group, and a piece combining fixed rope with clown. To conclude, the Swingtronics group will offer a concert with swing and rock rhythms at 8:00 PM in the square.
On May 17, at 12:00 PM, the group Oreka TX will perform a concert at the Angurreta art space. Admission will be free. Organizers have requested that attendees walk from the town center to Angurreta, as vehicle access will be closed. They have also specified that the event will be canceled in case of bad weather. Oreka TX is a well-known musical project centered around the txalaparta. The txalapartaris who form the core of the group have developed an extensive international career, fusing traditional Basque music with sounds from various world cultures.
The week's cultural offerings are complemented by other initiatives. On May 15, at 6:30 PM, Gorka Valdes will give a talk titled ‘Investigating the Birds of Mañaria and its Surroundings’ at the cultural center. On May 15, at 7:00 PM, Jokin Lasa will present the musical performance ‘Aberriak eta atzerriak’ at the same venue. Looking ahead to next week, on May 18, at 6:00 PM, a mural painting will be carried out in the square with Eñaut Aiartzaguena. Furthermore, on May 20, at 6:00 PM, the film ‘Sorgiñak’ will be screened at the cultural center, with the participation of Asisko Urmeneta. After this session, Cultural May will enter its final weekend.
