Elgoibar's Bertso School Opens Registration for New Academic Year

The program, aimed at students from 4th grade of Primary to Secondary Education, is conducted under the guidance of the Gipuzkoa Bertsolaris Association.

The Elgoibar City Council, under the direction of the Gipuzkoa Bertsolaris Association and in partnership with local educational institutions, is promoting an initiative to develop oral communication skills through bertso.

The council has launched the Bertso School, and registration for the current academic year is now open. This program is designed for students from 4th grade of Primary to Secondary Education (ESO).
Once groups are formed, the introductory day will take place on September 28th. On this day, students and the instructor, Eneko Beretxinaga, will collectively decide on the schedule for the academic year. Primary school students will meet at 5:00 PM in the main hall of Aita Agirre, while secondary school students will gather at 3:30 PM.
Eneko Beretxinaga's connection with bertso is rooted in transmission, particularly within bertso schools, leisure activities, and formal education. He also serves as a committee member of the Gipuzkoa Bertsolaris Association and works as a teacher in the formal education system.
The registration period will close on September 18th. Interested individuals should contact the City Council's Euskera Department for further information by calling 943 74 43 66 or emailing euskara@elgoibar.eus.
The fee for this academic year will be 50 euros.
