Jakiunde, the Basque academy dedicated to science, art, literature, and social thought, held its spring meeting, inducting four new members and discussing future strategies.

The academy, which has provided reflection and advice to institutions and society since 2007, reviewed its operational guidelines. It currently comprises over a hundred members, selected for their outstanding academic and artistic careers.
During the meeting, the induction of Patricia Aspichueta, a doctor in pharmacy; Txema Ausín, a philosopher; Izaskun Orue, a doctor in psychology; and María José Sanz, a doctor in biology, was announced. The latter will assume her position in the November meeting.
As part of the event, a keynote lecture titled Notitia Vasconiae: Dictionary of Historians, Jurists, and Political Thinkers of Vasconia was delivered. This four-volume work was presented by academic Gregorio Monreal, with comments from historians Roldán Jimeno and Juan Madariaga, who are co-directors of the publication.

"The academy promotes numerous outreach activities, both for the general public and for young people, to ensure that future generations receive a solid education. Throughout its history, the institution has reaffirmed its commitment to disseminating knowledge to society and addressing future challenges."
