The weather has provided ideal conditions throughout the key stages of the vine's cycle. Spring offered excellent conditions for flowering and fruit set, while a dry summer, free from high humidity periods, prevented significant issues with common vineyard diseases. Rainfall in late August and early September also contributed to larger grape clusters, ensuring the grapes reached the harvest in optimal condition.
The Origin Denomination highlights that a significant characteristic of this year's campaign is not only the excellent condition of the grapes but also the remarkable uniformity observed across the vineyards. Historical records indicate that such a homogeneous development has not been seen in recent years. "Overall, we haven't experienced such a uniform year in the vineyards," they stated.
Although final data is still pending, early evaluations are positive, suggesting a high-caliber harvest in terms of both volume and quality. "This year's harvest will be spectacular," confirmed representatives from the Origin Denomination. Once the harvest is fully concluded, the final figures and official assessments will be released, marking the beginning of the new txakoli production process.
