The Amorebieta-Etxano City Council has participated in the presentation of a new edition of the Ondarea Bizkaia initiative, alongside representatives from other municipalities. The event highlighted the importance of bringing cultural heritage closer to citizens and sharing stories that are part of Bizkaia's identity.
As part of this program, Amorebieta-Etxano will present an activity to recover the collective memory of the Etxondopozoko neighborhood: “San Kristobal Jaiak Etxondopozo auzoan”. This event will take place on October 30, 2026, at 8:00 PM, in the Zornotza Aretoa.
The audiovisual work, directed by Zigor Aiarza and produced by Pausa, recovers old images and testimonies to introduce new generations to the significance of these celebrations and their role in the neighborhood's social life.
Through this initiative, Amorebieta-Etxano joins Ondarea Bizkaia 2026, a project focused on the immaterial heritage, traditions, and memory of the people who have shaped the municipality's history.
The City Council encourages citizens to participate in this activity and to continue discovering and sharing the elements that form part of Amorebieta-Etxano's cultural heritage.
