Elorrio will celebrate the Ferixa Nausikoak festival from September 4th to 13th, highlighting the 25th anniversary of the merchants' association EME. The program will include events for all ages, concerts, and new locations.

This year's Ferixa Nausikoak festival in Elorrio will be special, as the local merchants' association, EME, celebrates its quarter-century. To mark this occasion, various activities have been organized, with the festival's opening ceremony (txupinazo) being one of the highlights. "We are very happy because we will read the proclamation at the festival. This year is our year," stated Izaskun Agirre, a member of EME, at the press conference.
The City Council has prepared a program running from September 4th to 13th, aiming to complete all arrangements before the summer holidays. The events are designed for all ages, featuring 26 activities for children and families, and the Zintzilik emotions laboratory for teenagers. On the music front, bands and artists such as Los Zopilotes Txirriaos, Kaparrak, Maruxak, and Xabi Aburruzaga will perform on stage.
Among the festival's new features, councilwoman Itxaso Basauri mentioned the new location for the 'txosna' area (food and drink stalls). The Bokate txosna will be located on Buzkantz street, while those under the tent and their concerts will take place at the Ganondo entrance. Additionally, the float parade will have a new route, starting from Aldatsekua and passing through the town square. Those wishing to participate in the float parade and the 'cuadrilla' games can register via QR codes.
The work of Juan Luis Pulido, winner of this year's poster competition, has also been highlighted, receiving the annual award from ANBOTO. For visitors from outside the town, it has been announced that the bus service will be reinforced.
The Ferixa Nausikoak have reiterated their commitment to egalitarian, safe, and respectful festivities. The feminist protocol against sexist and racist aggression will be activated again, in collaboration with the local feminist movement. Individuals needing information or assistance can contact the phone number 688 86 52 94, and purple hats will be distributed. A campaign on responsible consumption will also be carried out.
Mayor Julene Lazkano has invited citizens to enjoy the festivities, and has thanked all the associations, agents, volunteers, municipal staff, merchants, hoteliers, farmers, ranchers, and artisans who make the festival possible. "Thanks to their commitment, year after year Elorrio celebrates lively, participatory, and open festivals for everyone," she stated.

"I extend the invitation to all citizens to enjoy the festivities in Euskera, with respect, equality, and responsibility."
