Decisive Xare Championship Semifinals to be Played This Weekend

Matches determining qualification for the final will take place in Irura and EHko Trinketea, featuring a father-son clash.

This weekend will decide the semifinals of the Euskal Herriko Trinketea Xare Championship, with several pairs vying for a chance to reach the final, alongside a unique father-son encounter.

In the Irurako Ostatua Xare Irekian championship, the duo of Matxalen Mendizabal and Oier Garmendia will face off against the pair of Ibai Larrañaga and Markel Mujika. A win for Ibai and Markel would secure direct qualification for the final, whereas if Matxalen and Oier win, the point average will need to be considered to determine the final standings.
Furthermore, in the senior category of the EHko Trinketea Xare Championship, a special semifinal will be held. Here, representatives from the clubs Ametsa (Xuban Lopetegi and Oier Iturbe) and Behar Zana (Joxi Lopetegi and Clement Cassaing) will compete. In this unique situation, father Joxi Lopetegi will play against his son Xuban Lopetegi, promising a potentially thrilling spectacle.
This event will take place on Friday at the Ametsa trinketea. The winner will advance directly to the final, while the loser will be eliminated.
In the same championship, but in the youth category, the pair from Ametsa consisting of Ibai Larrañaga and Ander Mujika will play their semifinal against the duo from the Auñamendi team on Sunday, June 7th, at 11:00 AM, in Garralda.
