The PNV party in Berriz has selected Beñat Aguado Martínez as its mayoral candidate for the 2027 municipal elections, opting for a candidacy that blends youth, management experience, and commitment to the municipality's future.

The PNV party in Berriz has unanimously chosen Beñat Aguado Martínez as its candidate for mayor in the 2027 municipal elections. The nationalist party is backing a candidacy that combines youth, management experience, and commitment to the future of the municipality.
Following his designation, Aguado expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and stated that he approaches this new phase “with enthusiasm, responsibility, and a strong desire to continue working for Berriz”. Among his main objectives, he highlighted promoting access to housing for the municipality's youth through the development of protected and affordable housing, as well as improving and renovating the older areas of the town to build a more accessible and future-ready Berriz.
The nationalist party emphasized that this candidacy merges renewal with management experience, based on a way of conducting politics that is “close, responsible, and committed to the reality of all neighborhoods and people in the municipality”. In this regard, they underscored their commitment to working for the entirety of Berriz, from the urban center to neighborhoods such as Andikona, Eitua, Murgoitio, Okango, Sallobente, or Sarria.
Beñat Aguado, 29 years old and born and raised in Berriz, represents a generation deeply connected to the social and associative life of the municipality. He comes from a family with a long history of involvement in local public life and currently combines his studies in Industrial Automation and Robotics with various work experiences in sectors such as educational leisure, customer service, and the automotive industry.
In the municipal sphere, during the current legislative term, he presides over the Town Hall's Organization Commission, where he holds responsibilities in the Treasury area and participates in the preparation of budgets, ordinances, and municipal economic management. Furthermore, he is the president of the cultural association Berrizko Gaztedi Kultur Taldea, strengthening his ties with the social and cultural fabric of the municipality.
With this candidacy, the PNV of Berriz faces the new electoral cycle with the aim of consolidating a close governance model, paying special attention to the needs of the citizens and with a future vision for the municipality.
