Once again, the Beasain Beer Festival will be held from September 17th to 19th, under the square. On Thursday, September 17th, the festival will begin at 6:00 PM, and on Friday and Saturday, September 18th and 19th, the venue will open at 28:00. Organizers anticipate consuming over 3,000 liters of beer and hundreds of pork knuckles and sausages, preparing tables and seating for 400 people.
High-quality beers will be featured, both from the Basque Country and international ones. In total, 25 types of beer will be available on tap, and another ten in bottles, including non-alcoholic and gluten-free options.
This year's edition will offer four special craft beers called Etxera, produced in the Basque Country: Pils, Helles, Sendoa, and Beltza. In addition, there will be beers from Bavaria (six), Flandria (four), Wallonia (three), Czech Republic (three), Germany (three), and Ireland (two), as well as ten other varieties from Bavaria in bottles.
A typical brewery menu will also be available: oven-baked pork knuckle, Bavarian Bratwurst, and Basque Country Earra sausages grilled with mashed potatoes, homemade brownie for dessert, and two beers to drink. For those preferring a lighter meal, sausages, hamburgers, or sirloin sandwiches will also be offered.
Regarding prices, they will remain the same as last year: the menu for two people costs 32 euros, pitchers are 3 euros, and half a liter of beer is 5.50 euros.
“"With the aim of informing about the number and situation of prisoners, Etxerat of Goierri has organized the solidarity raffle '110 prisoners and exiles, 110 toasts', with a prize of 110 beers."
The prize of 110 beers from the raffle is on display in the window of Herri Denda, and tickets can already be purchased there and at Arranon in Beasain.
