Ander Otegi, a cyclist from Zegama, has been crowned champion of the Basque Individual Time Trial Championship in Aizarnazabal, dominating the 21-kilometer race.

Ander Otegi Ariztimuño, a cyclist from Zegama competing for the BBK-Euskadi team, is proving his current form. Following his victory in a road race in Irun last Sunday, Otegi claimed the title in the Basque Individual Time Trial Championship held in Aizarnazabal yesterday. He completed the 21-kilometer course in 25:55:78.
Otegi's teammate, Kepa Ormazabal Galdos from Galdakao, finished in sixth place, one minute and four seconds behind the leader. Additionally, another rider from the Goierri region reached the podium: in the junior women's category, Naxara Odriozola from Beasain, secured third place, one minute and forty seconds behind the winner, Ane Zubeldia.
The Basque Federation has re-organized the individual time trial championship after many years. The competition was held under the name Gervais Memorial Classic in Aizarnazabal.
