The Amorebieta-Etxano City Council, with the support of EBETE, has scheduled two online workshops for October 20th and 22nd, targeting families with children in Infant and Primary Education.

The Amorebieta-Etxano City Council has expanded its Family School offerings this academic year with two online workshops, presented by EBETE on October 20th and 22nd. These sessions are designed for families with children in Infant and Primary Education, aiming to provide practical tools, strategies, and resources to assist parents in supporting their children's Euskera usage and learning.
The first workshop, titled ‘The Challenge of Supporting Our Children with Euskera Use’, will take place on October 20th in Euskera. It is aimed at Basque-speaking parents and will explore children's language habits and the family's influence on them. Strategies to promote Euskera use, strengthen language attachment, and utilize everyday home resources will also be shared.
The second session is scheduled for October 22nd in Spanish, under the title ‘Enjoying Languages: How to Help Our Children with Euskera and Studies?’. This workshop is for parents who have little or no knowledge of Euskera. It will cover the process of learning multiple languages, the value of multilingualism, and the role of home languages. It will also address common concerns regarding Euskera studies, such as how to help with homework or support learning without being fluent, offering practical ideas and resources.
Both workshops will be held online. To facilitate family participation, four different time slots will be offered for each session: 09:30, 15:00, 17:00, and 18:30. Each session is expected to last approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
Registration opened on September 14th and will continue until October 15th. Interested individuals can sign up via the Amorebieta-Etxano City Council's website, which will direct them to the form prepared by EBETE. The City Council will announce the full regular program of the Family School at a later date.
