Abadiño will present tomorrow, June 9th, the diagnosis and action proposals that will guide its care strategy for people over 60 years old. The meeting will take place at 18:00 in Errota Kultur Etxea and will be open to the public to gather opinions and neighborhood proposals.
The plan is based on an analysis of the municipality's social, economic, residential, and educational reality and proposes a roadmap based on five pillars: citizen participation, access to information and rights, improvement of proximity services, combating loneliness, and promoting long-term care models that are closer and adapted to each situation.
A central aspect of the strategy is to strengthen care within people's usual environment, enhancing collaboration between institutions, public services, and neighborhood networks. The model also incorporates a preventive perspective, aiming to anticipate dependency situations and improve the quality of life for the elderly population.
Furthermore, the session will introduce Auzosare, a model for early detection and intervention in situations of loneliness, which will be implemented in Abadiño in the coming months and is recognized at the European level as a best practice.
