The Koba Live festival, a benchmark for rock and metal music, will be held in Durango on May 16, featuring confirmed bands Killus and Injector, following a venue change.

The Koba Live festival, which has become an icon in the Basque music scene since its inception in 2022, will take place this year in Durango on May 16. The event is known for supporting local and emerging bands, featuring international groups, and fostering a close-knit community atmosphere, making it a key meeting point in the cultural calendar of Duranguesado.
This year's edition will not be held in Abadiño, as initially planned. Organizers announced in December that this change was due to «cuts in economic aid received from the Provincial Council and the City Council itself». Despite this shift, the festival is moving forward and has already confirmed its first bands: Killus and Injector.

The former has established itself as one of the references in industrial metal, thanks to a solid trajectory of more than two decades in which they have developed their own sound that fuses electronics and a carefully crafted dark aesthetic. And on the other hand, 'Injector' represents the most classic and aggressive side of 'thrash metal', with a proposal that combines speed, precision, and a strong influence of the 'old school' sound.

According to the organizers, these two national metal bands offer complementary styles within the genre. Killus has solidified its position as a reference in industrial metal, with a two-decade career blending electronics and a dark aesthetic. Injector, meanwhile, represents the more classic and aggressive side of thrash metal, known for its speed, precision, and strong old school influence.
Throughout its history, Koba Live has attracted audiences from various locations, offering a combination of concerts and diverse activities. Its commitment to promoting music and fostering a participatory environment ensures its continued prominence in the region.
