The Usurbil City Council has reiterated the details of the door-to-door waste collection system. According to this system, organic waste is collected on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays; plastic on Tuesdays and Fridays; and paper and cardboard on Wednesdays. Refuse collection, on the other hand, takes place every two Sundays, with the next one scheduled for April 26, 2026.
The mobile clean point will continue its route in 2026, aiming to bring the service closer to residents who cannot access the Atallu Clean Point. This week, from April 16 to 22, it will be in Mikel Laboa square, and from April 23 to 30 in Aginaga. This service collects various types of waste, such as paints, batteries, computer equipment, and small electrical appliances.
Furthermore, the itinerant van of the San Marko Commonwealth visits Usurbil twice a month, on the first and last Wednesdays. This van collects hazardous waste such as cooking oils, paints, lamps, mobile phones, and car oils. On April 29, it will be in Mikel Laboa square, and on May 6, it will visit several locations, including Aginaga and Zubieta.
Regarding the operating hours of the Atallu Clean Point, until July 15, it will be open from Monday to Friday from 10:15 to 12:50 and from 16:00 to 18:50, and on Saturdays from 09:00 to 12:50. From July 15 to September 15, summer hours will apply, with reduced operating times.
