The "Goazen Kalera" initiative, organized collaboratively by the Usurbil Town Council and various entities, will offer healthy walks every Tuesday, starting from May 5, through the town center and its neighborhoods, extending until August.

The "Goazen Kalera" dynamic, which has been running since the beginning of the year with the aim of making Usurbil a more caring town, continues to offer healthy walks. This initiative, thanks to the collaboration between the Usurbil Town Council and other organizations, will continue with walks held every Tuesday, starting on May 5 in the town center.
The walks take place between 10:30 AM and 12:00 PM, in the town and neighborhoods of Usurbil, starting from the local fronton. A taxi service is also offered to go to the neighborhoods, at 10:15 AM, in front of the Laurok bookstore. At the end of each walk, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious snack prepared by the culinary students of Atallu's Basic Vocational Training.

"In summer, it is common for several services to close or be suspended, schedules to change, shop hours to be reduced, the town to empty... and an offer was made to alleviate the loneliness this generates in older people."

the organizers
The organizers have released the new schedule for these healthy walks, and this year the initiative will extend until August, without interruption even on holidays. Following last year's positive experience, in which about 35 residents participated, it has been decided to repeat it this year. Thus, in addition to offering the Artzabal Day Care service also in August, once a week there will be the opportunity to take a short walk and chat over coffee.
These walks are aimed at the entire town, and anyone can participate for free, without prior registration. The objective of the initiative, in addition to physical activity, is to promote intergenerational relationships and mutual care.
