In the coming weeks, Usurbil will highlight its identity and ongoing transformative projects through a special tourism offer. The 650 Usurbil Bizi initiative has presented a program that will run until the end of June, including guided tours and various cultural events.
This weekend, two special guided tours will take place. On Sunday, May 10, there will be a route dedicated to cider culture, which will conclude at the Aialde Berri cider house in Santuenea. Previously, on Saturday, May 9, the Museo Irekia guided tour will be offered to explore the cultural creations in the streets of Usurbil.
Additionally, the 60th anniversary of the sculpture by Remigio Mendiburu in homage to the bertsolari Udarregi will be celebrated. The sculpture was inaugurated on May 22, 1966, and to commemorate this date, NOAUA! Kultur Elkartea and 650 Usurbil Bizi have organized special events for May 15 and 22. These events include screenings of the films Oteiza 14 apostolu and Zutik, followed by discussions.
The full program also includes other guided tours, such as the opportunity to discover the heritage of the Salbatore Church, with an organ exhibition, as well as the Zero Zabor and Zaintzaren Usurbil routes. Some tours will also be offered in Spanish, such as the War memory route.
