The Basque Government's Department of Sustainable Mobility has organized guided tours for the public to visit the new underground station in Pasaia between June 15 and 18, prior to the launch of the new railway bypass.

The infrastructure, managed by Euskal Trenbide Sarea (ETS), is located under Gure Zumardia. This project aims to improve the connection between the Altza and Galtzaraborda stations. Once completed, the Euskotren service will offer 7.5-minute frequencies on the route between Amara and Pasaia.
Those interested in participating must register between today and June 8. Registration is available at the Topogunea in the Amara station, via email, or by phone. Visits will take place in the afternoon with limited capacity.

"We are in the weeks prior to the launch of the bypass between Altza and Galtzaraborda and we want to show the public the result of the work done. We want to explain how this work will change their daily lives."

The new station will transform the appearance of Antxo, as it will allow for the demolition of the viaduct that currently divides the town. ETS noted that the layout was designed while respecting the Molinao stream and surrounding buildings, with the station featuring an underground mezzanine connecting both platforms.
