The first task will involve installing the new walkway pavement, using a continuous flexible and non-slip polyurethane floor. According to the company in charge, an intense odor might be perceived in the area during these works, though it poses no health risk. This intervention is expected to conclude on Thursday.
While these tasks are carried out, the elevator will remain completely out of service. Taking advantage of this technical stop, the Council will also undertake the cleaning and painting of the elevator tower's interior.
The City Council does not rule out that these works may extend beyond next week, potentially leading to new sporadic service interruptions during the week of May 4. In such a case, interruptions will be limited to the periods when maintenance work is being performed, ensuring the elevator remains operational when no personnel are working on the installation.
With these actions, the Errenteria City Council is entering the final stretch of the improvement and fine-tuning works for the urban elevator on Parke Street.
