Representatives of the PNV have condemned the management of the Errenteria City Council, criticizing the lack of transparency and the alleged silence maintained regarding recent gender-based violence cases.

The leadership of the PNV has strongly criticized the municipal government of Errenteria over its handling of gender-based violence cases recently uncovered at the Xenpelar Bertso Eskola and the Kukai dance company. According to the party, local authorities have employed a "code of silence" instead of providing clear and diligent responses to the victims.
The PNV has stated that data confidentiality cannot be used as a political alibi to avoid accountability. "No statements or acts of rejection have been activated, and there is an attempt to avoid answering fundamental questions about the operation of protection mechanisms," the party stated.
The party emphasized that protecting victims is fully compatible with institutional transparency. They have questioned the effectiveness of municipal protocols, noting that despite the facts being known since 2018, the response has been characterized by inaction or attempts to manage the situation through internal channels.
