The Alkartasuna Usurbil Farmers' Cooperative, as part of its biannual initiative, offered an excellent opportunity to delve into cider culture on April 26. Those who registered in advance enjoyed a beautiful route through the landscapes surrounding Aginaga and Txokoalde.
This event combines unusual elements. The walk, in addition to allowing participants to cover several kilometers, offers a special atmosphere. Landscape architect Jakoba Errekondo provides insights into the history of Usurbil's landscape and cider culture. Alongside him, two leading bertsolaris, Maialen Lujanbio and Andoni Egaña, perform bertsos (improvised Basque poetry) related to Errekondo's explanations.
The walk on April 26 began at 10:00 AM from the entrance of the Old Church of Aginaga. Participants who registered through the 650 Usurbil Bizi community project took part in this bertso-walk. These excursions are typically organized in April and October, in various areas of the municipality, and this time they started in Aginaga and proceeded towards Txokoalde.
