The Astigarraga Town Council has announced a photo collection contest to select the images that will illustrate the municipal calendar for 2027.

The municipality of Astigarraga is already looking ahead to its 2027 calendar, launching a photo collection contest. The aim of this competition is to select a series of photographs that will completely feature in the annual document, including the cover and all twelve months.
Participants are free to choose any theme, but all submitted photographs must be related to that theme and must have been taken in Astigarraga. Anyone over the age of 14 is eligible to participate in the contest.
The submission period for photographs will open in October, with the jury's decision and the awards ceremony scheduled for the second half of November. Nevertheless, interested individuals can start preparing their participation now, either by selecting their theme or by capturing initial images.
The jury will consist of members from the Culture Commission and a photography expert. They will evaluate the technical quality of the images, the visual and aesthetic unity within the collection, the connection to the author's chosen theme, and the diversity of perspectives and originality.
The contest offers three prizes: the winner will receive 2,000 euros for the best photo collection, the second-place winner will get 300 euros, and the third-place winner will receive a recognition of 150 euros. The calendar will be distributed starting from December 15 at the Town Hall, the Erribera cultural center, and participating establishments of the Astiko merchants' association.
