Errenteria has launched a new Housing Office this week, designed to bring available resources and aid closer to its citizens. The new service will be managed by the Oarsoaldea Development Agency and will provide information, orientation, and support for housing-related procedures to both those seeking to acquire a home and those who currently have a vacant property.
The establishment of this office represents another step in the development of the Errenteria Municipal Housing Plan, aiming to bring housing policies closer to the public by facilitating access to information about initiatives, programs, and aid from both the council and other institutions.
The office will initially provide information on the projections for new housing developments in Errenteria: where new construction is planned, the estimated timelines, and the types of housing anticipated in each case.
Furthermore, information and guidance will be offered regarding the housing services of Etxebide and Alokabide, as well as programs and resources specifically aimed at young people, such as community housing in Errenteria and available grants for purchasing or renting homes.
The new Housing Office will also pay special attention to owners of vacant properties. In such cases, they will be informed about available programs, resources, and fiscal measures to encourage the inclusion of these properties in the rental market, thereby helping to reduce the number of vacant homes in the municipality.
Another area of information will focus on measures aimed at ensuring the residential function of properties. Citizens will be able to consult information on regulations related to tourist accommodations, including the current moratorium, as well as incentives to promote the development of certain commercial activities in commercial premises rather than in residential units.
Thus, the new office is designed as a close and accessible point of contact to learn about and utilize all available resources, facilitating progress in housing access and residential use.
The launch of this service therefore marks another step in the development of the Housing Plan, contributing to the goal of improving information, facilitating access to existing resources, and bringing housing policies closer to the citizens.
The office is located at Calle Madalena, number 3. It will be open for attention on Mondays and Wednesdays, by appointment only. To request an appointment, individuals can contact the office from Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 14:00 by calling 943 344 160 or by emailing etxebizitza@oarsoaldea.eus.
