The Errenteria City Council and the association Errenkoalde are launching the eighth edition of the Bizi Errenteria voucher campaign in October, with the aim of promoting local commerce, hospitality, and services.

The Errenteria City Council, along with Errenkoalde (an association of commerce, hospitality, and service businesses in Errenteria) and local merchants, has presented the eighth edition of the Bizi Errenteria voucher campaign. The primary objective of this campaign is to promote the commerce, hospitality, and service sectors of the municipality, and it will begin next October.
The main novelty this year is that the vouchers will not require prior purchase. Now, they can be activated or issued directly at the establishment when making a purchase. To do this, the resident wishing to use the vouchers must provide their DNI number to the chosen business, and the vendor will enter it into the application. "Our idea is not to create inconveniences like those that occurred in previous editions," stated Maika Martín, president of Errenkoalde, with this new system that will reduce procedures.
The City Council and Errenkoalde encourage establishments to join the campaign, "as this will increase the effectiveness of the plan." Furthermore, as the mayor explained, "the businesses themselves will have the opportunity to offer their clients the use of the voucher," which will give them "more prominence".
For the circulation of vouchers, the Errenteria City Council and Errenkoalde have taken into account the data from the municipal registry as of June. 70% of the total potential will be put into circulation. "This decision is not aimed at offering fewer options, but rather at using public resources more efficiently," they explained.
The budget for this campaign will be 300,000 euros from the City Council, and it is expected to mobilize a total of 600,000 euros. The vouchers must be used within the campaign's calendar, which will start on October 1st and end on November 30th.
There will also be a special call aimed at young people, so that they "buy in Errenteria." Individuals between 18 and 35 years old will be able to use three vouchers, while those over 35 will receive two. When using the vouchers, the amount of the tickets cannot exceed 50% of the purchase.
