The PNV group in Bergara City Council announced significant changes at the ordinary plenary session held on April 27, with Councillor Mikel Lete's departure and Kepa Sebal Lazpiur's assumption of the spokesperson role.

Councillor Mikel Lete announced his decision to retire from public office at the ordinary plenary session held on Monday, April 27. This decision, in his words, marks the end of a personal stage and brings about a generational change within the PNV group of councillors. He has served as spokesperson and councillor for the PNV in Bergara City Council for three years.
Kepa Sebal Lazpiur has taken over as spokesperson. Born in Bergara in 1999, he is an industrial organization engineer with an MBA in project management. Currently, he works as a business administrator and director of entrepreneurship projects. He has been a city councillor since 2023 and will maintain his position as a member of the territorial committee.

"We are facing a new era for our municipal group. Mikel has done a great job, and with this change, we want to strengthen our commitment to the future of Bergara."

The vacant councillor position left by Lete will be filled by Esther Ortiz de Zarate. Born in 1977, she is a social worker and has been an Osakidetza employee since 2008. She has experience in municipal activity, having served as a councillor between 2019 and 2023. She will rejoin the citizens' committee, focusing particularly on issues related to care and well-being.

"It is an honor to accept this new responsibility. I commit to working with dedication and closeness, following the example of constant work and service to the community that has characterized the PNV municipal group of Bergara."
