Mondragon Corporation held its annual congress centered on the theme 'Strengthen and Create,' highlighting the challenge of enhancing current cooperative projects and jointly generating future opportunities. The congress also presented the development of four strategic axes for its socio-business policy.
Leire Mugerza, president of the Congress and the Permanent Commission, spoke first, emphasizing the approval of necessary regulatory changes to build the future together. Pello Rodríguez, president of the General Council, reviewed the 2025 financial year balance and outlined the four strategic axes: strengthening cooperative commitment and identity, fostering businesses with future potential, increasing Mondragon's social impact, and enhancing inter-cooperative collaboration. He also shared progress on fifteen priority projects within these axes.
The congress also analyzed and approved an interest-strategic motion, reinforcing the role of Mondragon Inversiones to support cooperative development and promote the creation of new businesses. In this regard, three new companies have been launched: Orbik Cybersecurity (cybersecurity), Amets Power Electronics (power electronics), and Inkkia (artificial intelligence). The goal is to launch three more businesses through this initiative by year-end.
Furthermore, in 2025, cooperatives and the Mondragon Foundation allocated over 49 million euros to social action, collaborating with approximately one thousand entities in areas such as poverty, education, the Basque language, culture, health, sports, and climate. Additionally, a portal will be launched in the autumn to showcase the strength of Mondragon's collective project.
